He was born on 24 June 1962 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat to a middle-class Jain family. His father is Shantilal and his mother is Shanti Adani. His seven siblings and eldest brother Mansukh Adani. The family moved from Tharad in North Gujarat in search of livelihood. Her father was a small textile trader.
